Worldwide, various allergens must be declared. There are only a few legal limits. The main requirement is that legally mandated allergens must be highlighted in the ingredient list. Approximately 100 countries have around 60 allergens, which are divided by continent:
 Africa and Arab countries
 Asia, Australia and the Caribbean
 Europe
 North and South America
