The Allergen Management Guide for BRCGS was created after many years of experience with allergen management and the BRC. It applies to the following standards:

  • BRCGS Food Issue 9
  • BRCGS Agent and Brokers Issue 3
  • BRCGS Packaging Materials Issue 6
  • BRCGS Storage and Distribution Issue 4
  • BRCGS Retail Issue 1

The guide explains the international legal requirements for allergen declaration for packaged and loose goods. It describes the possible risks for the development, introduction and management of an allergen management system along the supply chain and in your own company. All possible risks are listed in tables in each chapter, including a risk assessment for your HACCP. Of course, there is also an evaluation of the qualitative and quantitative analytical methods.
